About the job Project Design Director Position Title: Project Design Director Location: Riyadh, KSA Reporting to: Project Director Hill International provides program, project, and construction management services for clients in a range of sectors undertaking major construction projects across the world. General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

  1. Overall Design Management Leadership & Responsibility for the Program during Pre-Contracts & Post Contract stages.
  2. Leadership of the full Design Team.
  3. Reporting direct to the Program Director.
  4. Overall management of Stakeholders / Consultants / Principals across the overall Program.
  5. Interfacing with all Program Stakeholders (internal and external) in fulfillment of role and ensuring optimum outcomes.
  6. Design management and review, master development projects, preparation of scope of service, evaluation of tenders.
  7. Managing multiple Consultants and Contractors, managing Hill Design & Technical Team and Clients.
  8. Identify scope gaps and suggest, within a short time course of actions, to rectify as necessary.
  9. Manages the RFI process and obtains required replies from the client.
  10. Perform redline reviews of all plans during each design stage for suggested value engineering.
  11. Contribute with the urban planning and design of product.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
  1. Bachelors degree in Architecture.
  2. At least 25 years of post-graduate experience with 12 years of exposure to large mixed-use construction schemes and at least 5 years in a Senior Manager / Director capacity.
  3. Chartered Member of RIBA (or similar).
  4. PMC Background.
  5. PMP, CIOB, or equivalent certification is strongly preferred.
  6. Strong track record in delivering projects in a fast-moving and challenging environment.
  7. Computer literate in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
  8. Excellent command of written and spoken English.
  9. Able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  10. Excellent communication and organization skills.
