Job Description Job Title: Radiation Safety Officer Experience: 0 to 1 Year Salary: Depends Upon Experience Location: Dammam, Saudi Arabia Main Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure compliance with all radiation safety regulations and standards as mandated by the Saudi Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Commission (NRRC).
  2. Monitor and assess radiation levels in the workplace to ensure safe exposure levels for employees and the public.
  3. Maintain and calibrate radiation detection equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  4. Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and assessments to identify potential radiation hazards.
  5. Develop and implement radiation safety protocols and emergency response plans.
  6. Train staff on radiation safety procedures, proper equipment usage, and compliance requirements.
  7. Maintain accurate records of radiation exposure, incidents, and safety measures.
  8. Coordinate with government and regulatory bodies for necessary licensing, certifications, and inspections.
  9. Investigate and document radiation incidents, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
  10. Stay updated on advancements in radiation safety practices and regulations.
Essential Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Certification or willingness to attend a professional Radiation Safety course.
  3. Certificates must be attested by the Saudi Embassy.
Skills Required:
  1. Strong understanding of radiation physics and safety standards.
  2. Proficiency in the use of radiation detection and monitoring equipment.
  3. Strong command of English (verbal and written) to prepare reports and communicate effectively.
  4. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in documentation and compliance management.
  5. Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and mitigate radiation hazards.
  6. Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies with composure.
