Join a leading international financial institution as an Assistant Vice President - Financial Accounting . This role is ideal for an experienced finance professional eager to lead budgeting, business planning, and financial analysis across global and domestic divisions. Key Responsibilities A. Shareholder & Financial

  • Budgeting Leadership: Drive the annual budgeting process across all divisions and departments, promoting consistent business planning and rigorous budget reviews.
  • MIS Reporting: Ensure timely and accurate preparation of MIS reports for management and Board review, enabling close monitoring of business performance.
  • KPI Implementation: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and integrate best practices in financial budgeting and business planning.
  • Cost Management: Foster a cost-conscious culture, enhancing productivity and reducing waste to maximize financial benefits.
B. Customer (Internal & External)
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with department heads to facilitate the budgeting process, addressing any major budget deviations proactively.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain effective relationships across all related departments to achieve the Group's objectives.
  • IT Liaison: Collaborate with the IT department to resolve system requirements for budget reporting, ensuring smooth operational support.
  • Customer Support: Respond to internal inquiries about products and services, providing solutions aligned with the Group's objectives.
  • SLAs & Compliance: Adhere to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to improve turnaround times, and provide accurate data to auditors and compliance teams as needed.
C. Internal (Processes, Products, Regulatory)
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead budgeting and forecasting activities across both domestic and international business units, implementing effective control procedures.
  • Tool Development: Develop and enhance budgeting tools and techniques to support the Group’s needs.
  • Financial Controls: Ensure strict adherence to financial control policies, coordinating with IT to address system inaccuracies.
  • Policy Development: Establish and refine the Group’s budgetary policy framework, templates, and monitoring structures for complete budget control.
  • Team Management: Oversee, train, and support the budgeting team, ensuring operational efficiency and development.
D. Learning & Knowledge Development
  • Regulatory Awareness: Stay current on all budgeting regulations and best practices, and share relevant knowledge within the team.
  • Professional Growth: Pursue professional development opportunities and foster a growth-oriented environment for team members.
  • Team Training: Develop and train the budgeting team to maintain a high standard of financial reporting and MIS capabilities.
E. Legal, Regulatory, and Risk Framework
  • Confidentiality & Ethics: Uphold high standards of confidentiality and integrity to safeguard sensitive information.
  • Compliance Adherence: Fully comply with all legal, regulatory, and internal policies, including AML & CTF, sanctions, data protection, and fraud control.
Education & Experience Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, ideally within a top-tier international banking environment.
  • Certifications: Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CA, CFA) are a plus.

  • Financial Reporting Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial reporting standards (e.g., IFRS, IAS).
  • Budgeting Expertise: Proficiency in budgeting tools and techniques.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship-building and communication abilities.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is preferred.
  • Pressure Management: Ability to work effectively under pressure and deliver high-quality results.

  • Operate within the limits of the delegation of authority structure.
Communications and Working Relationships
  • Internal Stakeholders: Collaborate closely with SVP and VPs across divisions, departments, and branches.
