Summary: The Warehouse Manager will oversee receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations. You will be responsible for the efficient receipt, storage, value-adding servicing, and dispatch of a wide variety of products. Ultimately, you should ensure that productivity targets are met and that all warehouse processes run smoothly and promptly. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the warehouse in compliance with the company’s policies and vision.
  2. Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations.
  3. Set up the warehouse layout and ensure efficient space utilization.
  4. Initiate, coordinate, and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures.
  5. Ensure compliance with all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements.
  6. Maintain standards of health, safety, hygiene, and security.
  7. Manage stock control and reconcile inventory with the data storage system.
  8. Prepare and manage the annual budget.
  9. Liaise with clients, suppliers, and transport companies.
  10. Plan work rotas, assign tasks appropriately, and appraise results.
  11. Recruit, select, orient, coach, and motivate employees.
  12. Produce reports and statistics regularly (e.g., IN/OUT status report, dead stock report).
  13. Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided.
Qualifications:
  1. A BS degree in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration.
  2. Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Warehouse Manager.
  3. Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices.
  4. Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
  5. Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  6. Hands-on experience with warehouse management software and databases.
  7. Leadership skills and the ability to manage staff.
  8. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  9. Excellent communication skills.
