Position Title : Automation Tester Job Summary : We are seeking an experienced Automation Tester to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts to ensure the quality and functionality of our software applications. The Automation Tester will work closely with software developers and manual testers to maintain high testing standards, streamline testing processes, and drive quality across all development cycles. Key Responsibilities :
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing across different platforms.
- Collaborate with the development and QA teams to identify test cases suitable for automation.
- Maintain and update existing automation frameworks, tools, and scripts as needed.
- Review requirements and create test plans and test cases based on user stories, functional requirements, and technical specifications.
- Identify and report bugs, track defects, and provide comprehensive test results and analysis.
- Conduct code reviews of automated test scripts and improve the overall quality of the test codebase.
- Perform performance and load testing to ensure scalability and efficiency.
- Continuously enhance the automation strategy and contribute to the improvement of testing processes.
- Integrate automated tests into continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) pipelines.
- Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve automation issues and challenges.
- Work closely with developers to ensure test automation is integrated with the development process.
- Maintain documentation for all automation testing activities, including test scripts, results, and defect reports.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in test automation using tools like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Appium, or similar.
- Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, or similar tools).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, or Bamboo.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies (e.g., functional, regression, performance).
- Experience with version control tools (e.g., Git, SVN).
- Knowledge of API testing (e.g., Postman, RestAssured, SOAPUI).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Ability to write clear and concise test documentation and reports.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum development methodologies.
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., LoadRunner, JMeter).
- Knowledge of cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience in mobile application testing using automation tools (e.g., Appium, Espresso).
- Familiarity with behavior-driven development (BDD) frameworks like Cucumber.
- Detail-oriented and results-driven.
- Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
