  • The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for driving data-driven decision-making across the group by leveraging data, advanced analytics, and AI to find opportunities for business improvement.
  • They will work closely with various stakeholders, including management, department heads, and cross-functional teams, to analyze business requirements, identify opportunities for improvement, and propose actionable solutions.
  • They will bring expertise in gathering, interpreting, and presenting data-driven insights; note this is integral to the role.
  • They will bring the ability to clearly understand, document and align with key stakeholders on various initiatives.
  • They will bring the ability to continuously work with internal clients to identify opportunities to leverage data and analytics to drive various positive outcomes for the organization.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate business requirements, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of project goals and objectives.
  • Gather and analyze relevant data from various sources, employing statistical methods and data modelling techniques to extract meaningful insights and identify trends.
  • Evaluate existing business processes and workflows, identifying areas for optimization and efficiency enhancement to streamline operations.
  • Prepare clear and concise reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate analysis results and recommendations to key stakeholders and management.
  • Provide support in project planning, tracking, and coordination, ensuring projects are delivered within scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to integrate data analytics tools, ensuring seamless data flow and efficient data management.
  • Identify potential risks and challenges related to business operations and propose risk mitigation strategies.
  • Foster strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and collaboration across PHG and its entities.
  • Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of data-driven initiatives against agreed outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant certifications will be advantageous.
  • 8-10 years of experience in a business and/or data analyst role.
  • Experience in the healthcare insurance industry is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in data manipulation, modelling, and visualization using tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, or similar.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools to ensure effective project planning and execution.
  • Ability to problem solve complex scenarios, break them down into constituent parts and tackle each one accordingly.
  • In-depth understanding of business operations, industry dynamics, and market trends, enabling the ability to translate data insights into actionable business initiatives.
  • Demonstrable success in identifying market trends and business opportunities, plus developing, planning and delivering new interventions and innovations within a customer focused market.
