General Manager (Confidential) Location: Makkah, KSA Job Type: Full-Time Reports to: Ownership/Board of Directors Industry: Hospitality - Hotel Job Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented General Manager to lead the operations of a luxury hotel (based in Makkah). The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing all aspects of a hotel's operations, from guest services to financial performance, while ensuring the highest standards of excellence. The General Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth, optimizing operational efficiency, and fostering a culture of service excellence. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Operational Leadership: Oversee all hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food & beverage, and maintenance to ensure smooth and efficient functioning of the hotel.
  2. Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop department heads and staff, fostering a collaborative and service-driven work culture.
  3. Guest Experience: Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction by maintaining high standards of service, addressing guest concerns, and anticipating customer needs.
  4. Financial Management: Manage hotel P&L, budget forecasts, and financial planning to achieve or exceed revenue targets. Implement cost-control measures to maximize profitability.
  5. Sales & Marketing: Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to implement strategies for driving occupancy, average daily rate (ADR), and overall market competitiveness.
  6. Compliance & Safety: Ensure all hotel operations comply with local laws, regulations, and industry standards, including health, safety, and security protocols.
  7. Strategic Planning: Develop and execute long-term business strategies, identifying growth opportunities while adapting to market trends and guest preferences.
  8. Stakeholder Relations: Build strong relationships with ownership, key stakeholders, and partners, maintaining clear and consistent communication.
  9. Sustainability Initiatives: Implement environmentally sustainable practices in line with corporate social responsibility goals.
Skills Requirements:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  2. Minimum of 5-10 years of hotel management experience, with at least 3 years in a General Manager or equivalent leadership role in a luxury or upscale hotel.
  3. Proven ability to lead and inspire diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasts, and P&L.
  5. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  6. Demonstrated ability to drive guest satisfaction and operational excellence.
  7. Knowledge of hotel management software (e.g., Opera, HotSOS) and revenue management systems.
  8. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
