Full job description

Job Description: The HSE Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing effective health, safety, and environmental management systems to ensure compliance with local regulations and industry standards. You will promote a culture of safety within the organization and ensure that all safety practices are adhered to. Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies and procedures in compliance with legal requirements and best practices.
Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective measures.
Lead incident investigations, analyze data, and prepare reports on HSE performance and improvement actions.
Organize and deliver HSE training programs to ensure all employees are informed of safety practices and regulations.
Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure it is properly maintained and available.
Collaborate with all departments to integrate HSE practices into daily operations and promote a proactive safety culture.
Maintain up-to-date records of HSE incidents, audits, inspections, and compliance documentation.
Stay current with HSE legislation and industry trends to ensure ongoing compliance and best practices.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in HSE management, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, risk assessment methodologies, and safety management systems.
Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to engage and influence all levels of staff.
Certification such as NEBOSH or IOSH is highly desirable.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HSE management software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
