  • As the Operations Manager , you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing day-to-day transportation operations. You will ensure efficient use of resources, maintain compliance with regulations, and drive continuous improvement in service delivery. This role requires a results-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations, including fleet management, route planning, and scheduling.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve company goals and improve efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, legal, and regulatory requirements in all operations.
  • Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including procurement, customer service, and logistics, to streamline processes.
  • Manage and mentor operations staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.
  • Resolve operational issues promptly to ensure uninterrupted service.
  • Optimize costs while maintaining high standards of service quality.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and stakeholders to support business objectives.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a supply chain.
  • Experience: At least 14 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.
  • Proven leadership skills with a track record of managing teams and driving operational improvements.
  • Expertise in managing transportation fleets, route planning, and load optimization.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in operational software and tools, as well as MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to design and implement processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Experience with transport management systems (TMS), GPS tracking, and fleet management software.
