- As the Operations Manager , you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing day-to-day transportation operations. You will ensure efficient use of resources, maintain compliance with regulations, and drive continuous improvement in service delivery. This role requires a results-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Oversee daily operations, including fleet management, route planning, and scheduling.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve company goals and improve efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety, legal, and regulatory requirements in all operations.
- Monitor and analyze operational performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with other departments, including procurement, customer service, and logistics, to streamline processes.
- Manage and mentor operations staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and accountability.
- Resolve operational issues promptly to ensure uninterrupted service.
- Optimize costs while maintaining high standards of service quality.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and stakeholders to support business objectives.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a supply chain.
- Experience: At least 14 years of experience in operations management, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.
- Proven leadership skills with a track record of managing teams and driving operational improvements.
- Expertise in managing transportation fleets, route planning, and load optimization.
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in operational software and tools, as well as MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to design and implement processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Experience with transport management systems (TMS), GPS tracking, and fleet management software.
