Roles and Responsibilities

Job Title: Forklift Operator Job Summary: The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to transport, load, and unload materials, products, and equipment within the petrochemical plant. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and an understanding of hazardous materials handling to maintain a safe work environment. Key Responsibilities:

Operate forklifts to load, unload, and move materials to and from designated storage areas, production lines, and transport vehicles.
Ensure materials are stored securely and organized for efficient retrieval and transportation.
Perform routine maintenance and inspections of forklifts to ensure operational safety and report any issues promptly.
Follow all safety guidelines, particularly when handling hazardous or flammable materials.
Assist in inventory management by keeping accurate records of material movement and conducting periodic stock checks.
Collaborate with warehouse and production staff to ensure timely material supply for plant operations.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for material handling.

Skills:

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Basic understanding of material handling equipment maintenance.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid forklift operator certification.
Prior experience (1-3 years) operating a forklift, preferably in a petrochemical, manufacturing, or industrial environment.
Understanding of safety regulations and hazardous materials handling is highly preferred.
Ability to lift heavy items, maintain concentration, and perform tasks under time constraints.

Working Conditions: This role may require exposure to varying temperatures, petrochemical substances, and the use of protective equipment. Work shifts may vary depending on plant operation needs. Location: Ras Al Khaimah, UAE Expected Start Date: Immediate #J-18808-Ljbffr
