We are pleased to announce an opening for Load Controller in Manila, Philippines. In this role you are expected to ensure a DCS load / trim sheet is prepared for each Customer Airline departure in full compliance with Airline SLA and QAS procedures. To produce a timely, safe and efficient LIRF for each Customer Airlines departure as per the stipulated guidelines. To monitor, direct and communicate with the station of the flight regarding load control activities via DCS / email / phone – or any defined communication channel - and update the required changes to ensure the safety of the aircraft at all times.
Key Accountabilities
- Apply the Standard Operating Procedures / safety procedures to ensure safety at all times.
- Use correct, valid and updated aircraft data provided by the Customer Airline(s) to ensure accuracy.
- Calculate EZFW or payload & send to Flight Dispatch/Pilot-In-Command in a timely manner and in accordance to the Customer Airline requirement.
- Plan the aircraft loading in a manner to maintain Ground Stability during the offloading/loading process.
- Apply segregation requirements, compatibility checks & loading regulations for special/DGR loads in accordance to the IATA DGR Manual & Customer Airline requirements. Restrictions for carriage of live animals on the aircraft, if applicable must be informed to the Customer Airline(s) in a timely manner.
- Ensure Baggage, Cargo and Mail are planned in a manner to optimize payload and space with consideration of the load priorities and sequence of loading/offloading in accordance with requirements of the Customer Airline(s).
- Prepare the LIRF with the relevant coding scheme for dead loads, IMP codes for special loads, ULD numbers & Supplementary information regarding QRT/Standby cargo & special loads.
- Monitor the status of the flight constantly and highlight changes in Zero Fuel weights to the Flight Dispatch / PIC.
- Liaise with station of flight to ensure Load sheet reflects the actual loading.
- Produce a safe, fuel efficient and timely Load sheet to ensure ultimate flight safety, OTP and cost-efficiency.
- Sign the Load sheet electronically confirming that the Load sheet is prepared in accordance to the LIRF & the actual loading on the aircraft thereby taking the entire responsibility of the accuracy of the Load sheet.
- Ensure a Notification-to-Captain (NOTOC) is received from Cargo for special/DGR loads and submit it to the aircraft / station of flight in a timely manner.
- Ensure that load control documents (load sheet, loading instruction, post-flight messages) maintain an excellent standard of accuracy with all relevant sub information duly indexed for an acceptable presentation and understanding of the front line staff, as well as for filing purposes.
- Ensure compliance with the License renewal/revalidation processes in a timely manner.
- Ensure the load sheet recency is maintained and recorded as required to maintain the validity of the issued licenses. React promptly and efficiently, to power/DCS/network disruptions ensuring continuous safe and timely service delivery as defined in BCP Manual and instructions.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.
Qualifications
- High school graduation or Vocational/Diploma or Associate Degree or equivalent.
- Should have at least 02 to 03 Years of Job related or Overall Aviation Experience.
- IATA Dangerous Goods training.
- Basic Load Control course.
- Certified / Licensed to perform weight & Balance functions for a Wide / Narrow bodied aircraft.
- Worked in the capacity of Ramp Agent/Turn around coordinator within Aviation Industry for Narrow or wide bodied aircrafts.
- Experienced in Aviation Industry.
