Job SummaryThe Financial Analyst performs economic/financial research and analyses as assigned for use in the development of business strategies and tactics and in subsequent appraisal of results. Prepares statistical studies and economic forecasts of business conditions and trends and draws relevant conclusions. He/she interprets results and provides alternatives for further consideration.Job ResponsibilitiesProvides guidelines for standard cost approaches used in business decisions and establishes and monitors cost reduction programs.Reviews all accrued expenses on a monthly basis.Ensures accurate and timely month-end, quarterly and year-end close documents.Reviews, audits, and verifies financial statements and related summaries and reports.Provides direction to functional counterparts in operating units and to operating and senior management on matters involving cost determination problems, or issues such as inventory valuation, distribution of overhead, treatment of joint costs, and product pricing.Conducts special studies and analyses such as determination of work-in-house or subcontract and cost impact of proposed facilities or processes.Identifies and investigates issues related to assigned projects, determines scope, and selects approach from the accepted methodology or recommended alternatives.Defines assumptions for the quantification and analysis of investments, acquisitions, or divestitures.Participates in the development of long-range financial forecasts and related budgets, considering alternative scenarios and economic prospects as appropriate.Reviews the monthly trial balance in collaboration with the Chief Accountant and reviews all monthly bank reconciliations.Follows up with the Senior Finance Director to implement the company's budget and compare it with actual expenses.Reviews the depreciation process for fixed assets to ensure appropriate direction of depreciation expenses.Manages and provides assistance in maintaining accounts of strategic clients.Monitors all work related to year-end closing procedures to issue the yearly audited financial statement of the company.Supervises and trains less experienced analysts.Job Knowledge & SkillsIn-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Practices.Knowledge of statutory accounting principles.Knowledge of financial analysis and research procedures as they apply to financial methods.In-depth and demonstrable experience in financial management and accounting.Strong proficiency with MS Office Application along with Accounting/Finance Software.Experience working within an executive team.ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills, are a requirement to be successful in this role.Job ExperienceTotal: 13 years (On Job: 5 years, GCC: 3 years)CompetenciesCollaborationAccountabilityResilienceQualityLeadershipCreates Strategy - DevelopingDrives Performance - DevelopingDevelops Future Leaders - DevelopingCash Flow Analysis L3Net Present Value Analysis L3Business Valuations L3Break Even Analysis L3Budget Preparation and Reporting L3EducationBachelor's Degree in AccountingProfessional degree in Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
