Roles and responsibilities Ensuring that all operations are in a correct way, cost effective and timely manner in alignment with specifications and quality requirements. Improving operational management systems, processes and best practices that guarantee organizational well-being. Responsible for improving performance, productivity, efficiency and profitability through the implementation of effective methods and strategies. Manage a team of managers, training managers, and other direct reports. Contribute towards the achievement of company's strategic and operational objectives. Examine financial data/statements and use them to improve profitability. Perform quality controls and monitor KPI's. Recruit, train, supervise and appraise human resources. Prepare reports to monitor the correct development of operations in the parks. Support the Operations Director on a day-to-day basis in all management and operations. Work with resort wide park teams for possible synergies in operations. Focus on delivering a superior guest experience, maximize employee satisfaction, and ensure optimum results in terms of mission and values of the Leisure and Entertainment division. Ensure efficiencies during the peak times of the day. Any other duties may be reasonably requested by the Management Team. HSE Requirements Ensure the department is up to date with compliance related to health, safety and building as governed by the municipality and company. Adhere to the laws, regulations, applicable standards and guidelines imposed by the governing authorities, including but not limited to, possessing and updating the necessary professional and other business-related licenses, securing and renewing timely permits and certificates, and obtaining medical clearances, sufficient training and appropriate qualifications required for the performance of work or job. Responsible for the department vehicle in relation to its operation, maintenance and compliance for licensing and registration. Ensure relevant colleagues adhere to required trainings when operating the same. Report, investigate, cooperate and resolve incidents involving oneself and persons within one's control and influence, timely and accurately. Practice due diligence through assessment and review such that all risks and hazards are controlled and maintained to acceptable levels in modification. Ensure that all aspects and considerations are sufficiently investigated prior to implementation or engagements. Provide or create a safe system of work that adheres to the processes that are in place, including but not limited to creating SOP manuals and updating current manuals or policies, procedures. Ensure everyone's responsibility and disseminate to department team members the knowledge, adherence and compliance of such procedures/policies. Take ownership of one's health and safety for matters within one's control or ability to influence, through leadership by example and ensure that those within one's responsibility and influence, including contractors, suppliers and third-party vendors, follow through. Provide, as far as reasonably practicable, the highest level of protection against harm or loss from hazards and risks to the health, safety and welfare of oneself and of the persons working under one's authority. Desired candidate profile Participate in company activities with the objective of improving readiness for emergencies, awareness of health, safety and environment and enhancing work life and employee welfare. Follow the rules and regulations set by the company to protect the lives and welfare of the persons involved in its business processes, including the protection of property and the environment from damage and other forms of losses. Represent department management on the company health and safety committee in the absence of HOD. About you:The preferred candidate for this role should possess the following experience and credentials: Graduate or master's degree in management (preferably) with 8 to 10 years' experience in Theme Park/Amusement Industry. IAAPA Certified member. Ability to adapt to changing work environments whilst maintaining a positive attitude. Knowledge of Park Operations. Experience in managing and leading large teams of more than 50 colleagues.
