Job details
Under general direction, executes the overall design, installation and integration of Unified Communication (UC) systems throughout the Company. May work with senior IT professionals and managers to design and develop Unified Communication solutions that meet corporate goals and initiatives. Provides senior level operational direction and support for the Unified Communications Infrastructure throughout the Company. Validates the delivered system to ensure that the project adheres to technical and quality standards. May also direct the activities, provide quality assurance and validate the work of less experienced infrastructure team members.Evaluates small to medium size systems currently in use to assess their effectiveness, to determine how well the infrastructure elements are meeting current and projected business needs and to recommend efficiencies, upgrades and modifications that will improve system use. Reviews all infrastructure modifications, enhancements and upgrades to assure the system continues to support the company's long-term business strategy and user needs.Advanced understanding of the complex principles, theories and practices of Unified Communications. Excellent knowledge of platform operation systems and applications (Windows Server OS, Active Directory, Exchange, Internet Gateways, Office Communications Server, anti-spam and anti-virus software and appliances, Blackberry Company Server, Exchange ActiveSync, Outlook Web Access, Microsoft Outlook and Office Communicator client) and how these systems interact.Knowledge of tools and products concerning Exchange encryption, virus & spam protection is a must. Knowledge of anti-virus and spam protection products like Sophos EndPoint security and Control, Kaspersky Business Space Security, Symantec Endpoint protection, Trend OfficeScan or other related products is required. Knowledge of Encryption products like Symantec PGP, Entrust, Voltage, Comodo, Proofpoint, Log.7-10 years of progressive experience in working with Outlook Exchange Messaging systems, maintaining one or more infrastructure elements for a medium sized Company.4-year degree in Computer Science (or related curriculum).Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist.About The CompanyParsons is a leader in many diverse markets such as infrastructure, transportation, water, telecommunications, aviation, commercial, environmental, planning, industrial manufacturing, education, healthcare, life sciences and homeland security.
