As Tooling Technician, you will be required to improve on time of Product Delivery and sustaining projects to an acceptable level, as well as performing production machining operations specified by the Manufacturing Order Package.
As a Tooling Technician, you will be responsible for:
Reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and setup requirements.
Applying basic concepts of algebra and geometry.
Maintaining the inventory of tools and fixtures.
Maintaining the in/out log accurately.
Ensuring that all gauges and fixtures are fit for use.
Ensuring that all gauges are meeting as per the calibration procedure.
Possessing good mechanical aptitude, including developing skills in use of general hand tools and precision measuring equipment.
Following the competency management program requirements and working under GENERAL supervision.
Initiating the replacement for damaged tools/fixtures.
Maintaining the tooling stock based on the shop demand.
Monitoring the consumptions and usage with the given budget.

To be successful in this role you will:
Have 2 to 3 years of experience in Tool crib or Gauge room.
Have Secondary Education / ITE / Diploma in science in Metal Machining.
Able to interpret and explain to machinists about Engineering drawing, VGS procedures, and MO when necessary.
Able to identify the different gauges, fixtures and inserts.
Have good interpersonal skills, computer skills and must be a team player.
Able to read and understand English.
