Roles and ResponsibilitiesAn opportunity has arisen for a Transportation Team Leader to join our team at Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab. The main duties and responsibilities of this role:Set an example for all Drivers in regard to punctuality, grooming, courtesy, attitude, teamwork, guest relations and adherence to the Jumeirah standards and Heart of Jumeirah.Ensure that all the drivers are properly allocated for guest movements.Ensure no delays in vehicle movement and that guests are picked up and dropped off on time.Ensure that the Drivers record all trips in the vehicle log with accurate mileage and destination each time they take a vehicle.Ensure that the Drivers are on schedule and keep the vehicle ready for the guest well in advance.Print of Opera 'Pick Up' Report every 2 hours.Taking appropriate handover from previous shift Team leader of Cash float, parking cards, mobile phones, and car keys.About You:The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:Minimum of 2 years luxury hospitality experienceExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesFlexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as neededAbility to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environmentFluency in English; additional language skills are a plusDesired Candidate ProfileTeam Management: Leading and supervising a team of drivers, logistics personnel, or transport staff, providing guidance and support.Operational Planning: Developing and implementing transportation plans and schedules to optimize routes and reduce costs.Safety Compliance: Ensuring that all team members adhere to safety regulations and company policies regarding transportation.Performance Monitoring: Tracking team performance metrics and implementing improvements as needed to enhance service quality.Problem-Solving: Addressing operational challenges, including delays or issues with vehicles, and finding effective solutions.Communication: Serving as the primary point of contact between the transport team, management, and clients or customers.Training and Development: Providing training for new team members and ongoing development for existing staff to improve skills and knowledge.Budget Management: Assisting with budget planning and monitoring expenses related to transportation operations.Fleet Management: Overseeing vehicle maintenance and ensuring that all transport equipment is in good working condition.Reporting: Preparing reports on transport operations, performance, and compliance for management review.Key SkillsLeadership: Strong ability to motivate and guide a diverse team to achieve operational goals.Organizational Skills: Excellent planning and organizational abilities to manage schedules and logistics effectively.Communication: Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with team members, clients, and management.Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to identify issues and develop practical solutions quickly.Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with transportation regulations, safety standards, and logistics software.Customer Service Orientation: Focused on delivering exceptional service to clients and maintaining positive relationships.
