Description
URGENT HIRING:
A leading Cigarette Manufacturer in UAE urgently requires an experienced LOGISTICS Officer who can join immediately. Preferred candidates should have experience and be located in the UAE only.
Role Description:
Organise transportation activities, including storage of goods, managing information accrued from point of origin to delivery, orchestrating transportation movements, and arranging for services as necessary.
Coordinate and track movement of goods through logistic pathways.
Execute logistics plan to move products and packages to reach destinations on schedule.
Review freight rates and other transportation costs to keep working costs low.
Maintain quality throughout the logistic processes.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or higher.
3+ years of relevant industry experience in logistics operations.
3+ years of shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, inventory management, and import/export operations experience.
Experience filing International Maritime Organization (IMO), Automated Export System (AES), and Importer Security Filing (ISF) documents.
Proven record processing shipments in accordance with DOT regulations and hazardous material labeling requirements.
Basic proficiency with MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Google Docs, Sheets.
Knowledge of 49 CFR, 15 CFR, Department of Transportation (DOT), International Air Transport Association (IATA), and International Maritime Dangerous Goods (IMDG) regulations preferred.
Prior global shipping management/customs clearance experience is highly desirable.
