NYU Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) seeks to appoint an Assistant Director, Admissions and Enrollment Operations to join the new Stern at NYUAD team.
NYU Stern School of Business and NYU Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) have partnered to offer the Stern at NYUAD One-year Full-time MBA program. The launch of the program signifies a new era of advanced business education that will support the growth of knowledge-based economies in the region. It is a transformative educational opportunity for students and professionals from around the world that are looking to establish or further their careers in the MENA region.
The Stern at NYUAD MBA program is an important focus in both Stern and NYUAD's strategic direction, attracting top talent from various industries across the GCC, MENA, and beyond. The inaugural cohort of Stern at NYUAD students will enroll in January 2025. The first cohort is 50 students. The 54-credit MBA program is one-year in duration, and students will attend classes at NYUAD's campus in Abu Dhabi and at NYU Stern in New York. Stern at NYUAD MBA graduates will join Stern's global network of 110,000 Stern alumni and 500,000+ NYU alumni in 183 countries.
The Assistant Director, Admissions and Enrollment Management will assist the admissions team with the strategic management and implementation of admissions processes and operations. The incumbent will support data and admissions process management, application review and verification, admissions and financial aid counseling, and other core functions of the admissions and recruitment cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Data and Application Process Management:
Manage application processing operations related to application review, evaluation, and reporting, as well as importing and exporting of data in support of the enrollment process.
Process incoming application components to meet institutional and stakeholder tracking and data retention requirements.
Establish and consistently update a database of requested admissions information and queries from prospective and admitted students in support of the recruitment and enrollment processes.
Act as liaison to other Stern, NYU, and NYUAD operations and data management units to ensure accuracy of all enrollment data forms.
Admissions Review:
Evaluate and assess students' applications (academic and extracurricular records, essays, letters of recommendations, test scores, etc.) to determine if the applicant fits the desired professional and academic profile.
Along with the Admissions committee provide application decision recommendations.
Advising:
Advise and counsel prospects and applicants on admissions policies, procedures and financial support options.
Lead with a customer-centric approach to foster a positive end to end experience regardless of the candidate's outcome.
Engagement Activity:
Support the planning and execution of engagement activities for the entire candidate pipeline.
Assist with event engagement operations including planning and facilitation.
Schedule, coordinate staffing, and work with business partners to promote events.
Provide events support coordinating logistics for travel, event space, lodging, catering and transportation and lead events as needed.
Support outreach activities with follow-up correspondence as needed.
Other:
Competitor benchmarking and business education market/industry reporting.
Support with data collection and analysis of competitor benchmarking, as well as business education industry and market trend data.
Make recommendations based on findings.
Required Education:
Bachelors Degree in a relevant field.
Required Experience:
3+ years of relevant experience in the higher education sector, admissions, CRM systems, data analysis, and databases or the equivalent combination.
Excellent written & oral command of English.
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills with diverse audiences in terms of nationality and cultural context.
Ability to handle difficult conversations diplomatically and respectfully.
Great organization and time management skills.
Preferred Education:
Coursework or degree related to marketing, data analytics, or project management.
Preferred Experience:
Personal or professional familiarity with graduate management education.
