Job details

Duties and Responsibilities:Receive calls from patients and answer their questions and doubts.Inform patients if the doctors are unavailable or engaged in important meetings.Make new appointments for patients.Make appointments for the patients of the clinics/units.Remind patients one day before their appointment.Schedule re-appointments for new, follow-up, and urgent patients.Refer patients to another clinic if the clinician will not be available at the scheduled appointment time.Prepare and update weekly appointment schedules.Reserve two days a week for operations and on-call physicians.Contact patients with appointments and remind them one day in advance to minimize problems.Provide personalized coordinated care and support for patients and families.Treat people with dignity, compassion, and respect.Qualifications:High school diploma and Bachelor's degree.Formal typing and computer training.Professional Experience:At least 1 year of experience working as a receptionist in a medical environment using a Dictaphone system.Typing skills and computer knowledge are essential.Ability to work individually and as part of a team.Special Skills:Ability to communicate in English and Arabic, both written and verbal.Knowledge of telephone consoles and related equipment.Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures.Knowledge of international and/or conference call telephone dialing procedures and protocols.Ability to concentrate for long periods of time.Competence:Assumes accountability for ensuring section activities comply with ASH policies and procedures and relevant accreditation.Ability to engage the consumer as an active participant in the delivery of professional service.Ability to show respect, dignity, and consideration for consumers.Required Attitude to Perform the Job:Focused.Objective.Flexible.Strong communication skills.Stress tolerance.Proper, effective, and compassionate communication.
