1.1 Job Scope Summary

The Warranty and Predictive Maintenance Engineer reports to the Outage and Technical Contracts Engineer and is directly responsible for coordinating, supporting, and completing predictive maintenance activities to maximize the reliability of equipment using a systematic/analytical approach to troubleshooting, failure analysis, predictive maintenance, and design improvements. This role involves coordinating and managing the execution of the preventive maintenance plan by collaborating with the Scheduler and working closely with maintenance engineers/schedulers to improve the availability of installations by monitoring breakdowns and improvements.

1.2 Job Responsibilities

Compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental requirements

Manage the Warranty and Punchlist items identified by the O&M Team

Perform condition-based maintenance surveys on plant equipment using vibration, thermography, ultrasound, and other techniques/technologies as appropriate

Prepare reports to document inspections and recommendations for preventive actions

Analyze costs, breakdowns, causes/damage, installation downtimes, and frequencies on critical equipment

Elaborate and analyze monthly reports on costs and breakdowns and define actions to improve reliability and optimization of critical equipment

Review predictive maintenance plans according to prior analysis from the scheduler

Ensure predictive work orders are completed as per schedule and recorded in the CMMS

Manage and follow up the technical documentation of the equipment (drawings, procedures, certificates, etc.)

Work closely with execution teams for failure analyses or improvement proposals

Assist in supervising the activities of external technicians or subcontractors when required or during plant shutdowns

Assist in the preparation of budgets for facility installation or maintenance

Train, coach, and mentor associated technicians using predictive maintenance techniques and the use of predictive technologies

Provide 24/7 support with unscheduled overtime, including outside normal work hours

Lead special projects in maintenance activities that will improve the reliability of the equipment, optimize maintenance costs, and reduce equipment downtime

1.3 Educational / Professional Qualifications / Training Certifications

Minimum degree in Mechanical / EICA Engineering

Minimum CAT II certification in vibration and level 1 in thermography is desirable

1.4 Job Experience

Minimum 5 to 10 years cumulatively in power generation or similar heavy industry

Minimum 2 to 5 years as a QA, Reliability, or Predictive Maintenance Engineer

Good knowledge of tools related to the study and measurement of equipment reliability rates and maintenance methods (FMEA, RCM, etc.) to define the actions to be implemented

Computer skills: MS Office / CMMS Intermediate user

Language: Advanced level of English
