Role Description

The Head of Systems and Controls is responsible for developing and maintaining the corporate governance framework, ensuring effective risk management, and implementing robust systems and controls across the organization. This role includes ensuring compliance with governance policies, identifying and mitigating operational risks, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Develop and maintain a comprehensive corporate governance framework that aligns with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Ensure governance policies and procedures are effectively communicated and implemented across the organization.

Conduct regular reviews and updates of governance policies to ensure they remain current and relevant.

Identify, assess, and manage operational and governance risks across the organization.

Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize the impact of identified risks.

Collaborate with relevant departments to enhance risk management practices and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Design and implement robust systems and controls to ensure effective compliance with governance policies.

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of existing systems and controls, making recommendations for improvements as needed.

Ensure that all systems and controls are aligned with the organization's overall strategic objectives.

Conduct data analysis to identify trends, provide insights, and prepare detailed reports on governance and risk management activities.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to governance and risk management, providing regular updates and actionable insights to senior management.

Ensure that all reports and documentation are clear, concise, and support data-driven decision-making.

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including compliance, AML, IT, and operations, to ensure cohesive and effective governance and risk management.

Skills Required

Strong knowledge of governance frameworks, risk management techniques, and internal controls.

Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, Excel).

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong leadership and team management abilities.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience in governance, risk management, or a related role, preferably within the iGaming or financial services sectors.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.

A master's degree or professional certification (e.g., ICA, CRMA, CISA) is a plus.
