Junior Accountant
Job details
We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our finance team as a Junior Accountant / Cashier. In this role, you will support our accounting and finance functions, including handling cash transactions, maintaining financial records, and assisting with various accounting tasks under the guidance of senior staff. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to gain valuable experience and grow their career in accounting and finance within the oil and gas industry.Responsibilities:Process cash transactions, including receiving payments, issuing receipts, and maintaining accurate cash balances and records.Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, including invoice processing, payment collection, and vendor payments.Reconcile cash receipts and bank statements to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial transactions.Prepare and maintain financial reports, spreadsheets, and other documents to support accounting activities and financial analysis.Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports under the supervision of senior accountants.Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and assistance as needed.Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.Perform other accounting and administrative tasks as assigned by the finance manager or senior staff members.Requirements:Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail, with the ability to accurately process and reconcile financial data.Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) is a plus.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and interact with internal and external stakeholders.Proactive attitude, willingness to learn, and the ability to take initiative and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.Commitment to integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality in handling financial information and transactions.
