Job Description

Job Purpose: To design, implement, and maintain the company's core network infrastructure and ensure that all network hardware and software are up to date and functioning properly for highest availability and accessibility performance.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Design, installation and configuration of LAN and WAN infrastructure in Data Centre and corporate offices.

Configuration management and change control of core network infrastructure including routers, switches, Packet Shapers, Firewalls and IDS/IPS.

Create and assign routing protocols and routing table configurations.

Manage all aspects of network security, including load balancers and firewalls.

Administration of switches, configuration of firewalls, set-up of VPN connections.

Manage all physical and logical voice and data network planning and design.

Analyse network performance records to ensure maximum availability.

Administration and configuration of Wireless LAN network.

Administration and configuration of Voice Gateways and IP Telephony systems.

Administration of all communication lines performance, including Digital Internet, MPLS, PRI, Leased Lines.

Manage the backup of all network configurations and data as per company policies.

Provide Level II support to all network related issues at remote locations, and act as escalation resource for Level I support.

Perform in-depth diagnostics, resolving problems, escalating problems to vendors as required, working with other ICT team members, and taking appropriate actions to assure appropriate and prompt solutions to network related problems.

Respond to after-hours emergencies, lead the mitigation and resolution processes of network performance and security.

Participate in disaster recovery planning and periodic exercises.

Conduct testing of network design and failover.

Create, maintain, and update the necessary documentation on network topologies and implemented network solutions.

Lead efforts to pilot new networking technologies to support and improve business processes.

Technical Competencies:

Educational Qualification: Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or any relevant degree.

Professional Certifications: CCNP, CCIE, FCP (or FCX), ITIL are a must.

Knowledge in Aviation information systems/knowledge in Airport IT systems/CNS Equipment will be an added value.

Experience: Minimum 6+ years of experience in a similar post related to networking administration or engineering.

Special Technical Skills:

Solid experience in configuring LAN and WAN systems for networking.

Solid experience in configuring and troubleshooting Layer 2 & Layer 3 switches (Cisco / Fortinet).

Solid experience in configuring and troubleshooting Fortinet firewalls.

Solid experience in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco firewalls.

Experience in configuring Secure Wireless Access Points (Fortinet or Cisco).

Experience in Cisco Unified Call Manager.

Experience in professional networking documentation.

Strong IP troubleshooting skills.

Strong experience in Routing Protocols.

Knowledge in Network Access Control solutions.

Knowledge in PAM solutions.

Knowledge in access control systems including CCTV is an added value.

Knowledge in Aviation/Air Traffic Management/CNS Systems is an added value.
