Description

Responsible for all Lifting Activities during Field Operations as per prevailing SOP & Clients Standards. To assist the team with the coordination of resources & the Lifting Equipment. Must be ARAMCO Certified.

Job Responsibilities

  • Preparation of All Lifting Plans.
  • Test rigging to ensure safety and reliability.
  • Dismantle and store rigging equipment after use.
  • Ensure that safety procedures are strictly followed.
  • Plan, coordinate and participate during lifting activities.
  • Make sure that the machinery is aligned, leveled, and anchored.
  • Assess the risks associated with lifting and moving heavy equipment and loads through confined spaces.
  • Inspect and prepare loads for transport by selecting the right pulleys, booms, braces, and cables for various jobs.
  • Select gear such as cables, pulleys, and winches, according to load weights and sizes, facilities, and work schedules.
  • Signal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads, in order to ensure safety of workers and materials.
  • Attach pulleys and blocks to fixed overhead structures such as beams, ceilings, and gin pole booms, using bolts and clamps.
  • Tilt, dip, and turn suspended loads to maneuver over, under, and/or around obstacles, using multi-point suspension techniques.
  • Control movement of heavy equipment and loads through narrow openings or confined spaces, using chainfalls, gin poles, gallows frames, and other equipment.
Required Skills/Abilities
  • Deep understanding of load charts, manual, different types of jibs, crane assembly/dis-assembly, lifting clamps, and load angles/lifting angles.
  • Knowledge of different types of rigging methods and selection of different types of lifting gears for any special needs.
  • Experience in heavy lifting objects.
  • Understand different types of lifting clamps and their safe usages.
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Positive thinking, self-motivated, proactive, and committed.
  • Team player and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience using computers for a variety of tasks.
Education and Certification
  • ARAMCO Rigger Level III Certificate is a must.
  • Diploma or any bachelor degree.
