Job Summary: AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Resident Engineer with a proven track record in Metro and Railways projects within the infrastructure sector. The ideal candidate should have 15-20 years of extensive on-site experience, demonstrating strong technical expertise and leadership in overseeing the construction and implementation phases of large-scale transportation projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership and oversight throughout the construction phases of Metro and Railways projects.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of contractors, subcontractors, and construction personnel on site.
- Conduct regular inspections, quality assessments, and progress evaluations to monitor project performance.
- Resolve technical issues, disputes, and challenges that may arise during construction, ensuring timely resolution to minimize delays.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, design teams, and stakeholders to achieve project objectives and milestones.
- Prepare and review project documentation, including reports, drawings, schedules, and budgets.
- Implement effective project control measures to manage costs, schedules, and resources efficiently.
- Mentor and support junior engineers and site staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Professional accreditation or licensure as a Civil Engineer is advantageous.
- Extensive experience (15-20 years) in Resident Engineering roles, with a focus on Metro and Railways projects.
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding of construction methodologies, materials, and specifications relevant to infrastructure.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team of construction professionals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) is desirable.
- Familiarity with UAE construction practices, regulations, and standards is preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
