Job Description: The Subject Matter Expert (SME) - Architecture is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality throughout the architectural design and construction process, particularly during the critical project handover phase. This role involves developing and implementing quality management procedures, conducting thorough inspections, and ensuring that all architectural components meet client and regulatory requirements. The SME will provide expert guidance to project teams, ensuring a smooth and efficient handover. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Quality Management: Develop and implement comprehensive quality management plans for architectural components. Establish and enforce quality standards, guidelines, and procedures to ensure compliance with design specifications and regulatory requirements. Conduct quality audits and inspections to identify and address any deficiencies or non-compliance issues.
  2. Project Handover: Oversee the project handover process, ensuring all architectural elements are completed to the highest standards. Prepare and manage all handover documentation, including as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, and warranties. Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to facilitate a seamless transition and ensure client satisfaction.
  3. Technical Expertise: Provide expert advice and support to project teams on quality management practices and project handover procedures related to architecture. Review and validate architectural designs, specifications, and construction methods to ensure quality and compliance. Offer solutions and recommendations for complex quality and handover challenges.
  4. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive quality management records, including inspection reports, test results, and corrective actions. Prepare detailed progress reports for stakeholders, highlighting quality metrics, issues, and resolutions. Ensure all documentation is accurate, complete, and accessible for future reference.
  5. Risk Management: Identify potential quality risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle to minimize impact on project delivery.
Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Architecture. A Master's degree is preferred. Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in architectural quality management, project handover, or related roles, with a focus on ensuring high standards of quality and compliance. Skills:
  • Extensive knowledge of architectural design principles, building codes, and quality management standards.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
