BAE Systems Strategic Aerospace Services WLL | Full time Senior Training Support Officer - 12 Month Cover Business Area Name Typhoon City Dukhan Country Qatar Postal Code 000000 Job Description The role will provide support tothe Typhoon Training Manager, undertaking a range of activities that supports thesuccessful delivery of BAE Systems contractual Training responsibilities acrossthe Typhoon Availability Service Operation at Dukhan Air Force Base (AFB), inQatar. This is a position for an experienced Senior Training Support Officer witha detailed understanding of the complete workings, systems, processes andprocedures within an aerospace maintenance training environment. At this levelthe role holder will typically have experience in the management of a LearningManagement System (LMS), experience dealing with exams/assessments andinvigilation. The role holder may be required to carry outadditional or alternative tasks from time to time, subject to holding theappropriate qualifications. ContractedTraining Delivery: Undertakes arange of training support activities within a department to ensure the smoothrunning of the Typhoon Training Facility (TTF)Operation, including ; Liaising with a wide range of internal and externalstakeholders including: TTF Management, Instructors, Quality Assurance, ITstaff, QEAF officers & students Management andsetting up of the Electronic classrooms and appropriate training mediaincluding TVMT (Typhoon Virtual Maintenance Trainer) Liaising withthe Air Service within the Typhoon Training Facility to ensure availability ofthe Avionics Part Task Trainer Create, manageand monitor documents to support governance requirements; Processdocuments and information received from a range of internal and customer sources; Management ofExport Control assurance and compliance within the TTF, including regularreporting and liaison with the Export Control team. Identifying andundertaking initial investigations into discrepancies and shortages relating toproducts or services, this could involve statistical information or documentcontrol; Collating andextracting data and producing routine reports, schedules, summaries forpresentation at the monthly Safety Compliance & Assurance Review; Management ofthe department documents and filing systems such that information can bereadily retrieved. Managementof the Typhoon Specialist Q Type examination / assessment days in accordancewith regulatory framework procedures and processes, including preparing foreach exam day, arranging invigilation of exams and dealing with any problemsthat arise during and/or after the examination / assessment. Additionalresponsibilities / Activities: Internal andexternal meeting coordination and Customer Relationship management Ensure compliance with the mandated BAESystems Governance Framework, including, but not limited to; Life CycleManagement (LCM), Business Continuity Management (BCM) - Incident Management(IM), Gifts & Hospitality (G&H), Responsible Document Record Management(RDRM), Export Control, SHE, et al. Requirements Functional Knowledge: Experience in a training support role within abusiness support function; Proficient in the use of Microsoft Officeproducts; Excellent communication skills with a friendlyand helpful personality; Excellent organisation skills with the abilityto effectively manage and prioritise own workload Experience working in a Training Organisation Experience working with a Learning ManagementSystem Business Expertise: Requires a basic knowledge of maintenanceoperational training requirements; Understands how the area collectively workstogether in order to meet their objectives; The role holder needs to understand the rolesof others in their immediate team in order to help carry out their roleeffectively. Problem Solving: The job follows defined guidelines to makestraightforward judgements Procedures fully understood and role holderconfident in solutionising from these procedures Makes straightforward judgements by selectingappropriate solution from defined guidelines Ability to work under pressure and totimescales; Ability to recognise and escalate issues in atimely manner. Interpersonal Skills: Diplomacy skills required in order to workacross business boundaries to achieve optimum solutions; Participation in negotiations and influenceoperational managers, primarily internally at all levels;
