Job Posting Date - Senior Fire & Gas Engineer - Loss Prevention DepartmentJob Profile:Work Location: Doha office, QATAR Designation: Senior Fire & Gas Engineer - Loss Prevention Department Job Responsibilities: Extensive work experience at a lead level as Senior Loss Prevention Engineer for greenfield & brownfield projects from FEED through detailed design stage upto EPC.Must have experience in both offshore & onshore Projects - F&G Systems & Loss Prevention Engineering works & detail design.Preparation, review and validation of Fire & Gas Detection and Fire protection design and construction technical submittalsas Fire Protection Subject Matter Expert (SME) at various stages of Project including FEED, detailed engineering & EPIC.Responsible for preparation of F&G Design & engineering drawings/plans and specifications, data sheets, calculations. Interfaces with existing systems & infrastructure to ensure all new construction, renovation, and improvements meet International Fire Protection Codes and best industry standards.Candidate shall have thorough knowledge on F&G requirements & design in Oil & Gas Industry, preparation of Loss Prevention Philosophy, Data Sheets & Specifications, detailed design of F&G Systems etc.Will be responsible for preparation of HAC - hazardous area classification drawings & schedule.Expert level knowledge in Safety & Risk studies including but not limited with HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, SAFOP, SIMOPS, QRA, FERA etc.Must be able to work independently on multiple projects & liaison with other departments & drafting section and EPC Contractors/vendors/suppliers.Must be familiar with QatarEnergy & Shell DEP Standards. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering (Fire Protection / Electrical / Chemical / Electronics) from accredited university.Diploma / Certifications from NFPA or any other recognized Fire affiliated universities.Completion of associated/relevant qualifications from a recognized institute (Modules on Fire Engineering Science, Fire Science, Fire Inspector, Fire Investigation) and/or Professional accreditation or License. Knowledge and/or Experience 15 years' experience, including 10 years infire protectionin Energy and/ or process industry & working design experience with QatarEnergy Projects is preferred.Knowledge of current national and international legislation related to fire protection.Evidence of fire protection / fire safety achievement.Must be TUV Certified.Must be QCDD Certified & UPDA approval.Shall have valid DL.
