Education: Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering Job SummaryThe Senior Estimator provides support to management during the pre-tender process starting from evaluating/ assessing tenders, assessing risk factors to arrive at bid decisions, and estimating all the required material, equipment, and manpower needs to be able to arrive at reliable cost estimates for bidding projects.Job Responsibilities 1Study, analyze and evaluate tender documents from a technical point of view in order to identify risk factors,ensuring that technical terms comply with the relevant standards for the overall risk assessment and biddecision.Solicit and follow-up with the design/ drafting section during tender preparation for method optimizing in order toreach cost efficiency.Liaise with the Procurement department to negotiate with approved vendors / suppliers and subcontractors forvarious supplies / material as per project (pre/post tender).Finalize estimation of all direct and indirect costs and consolidates tender documents for management reviewand approval.Provide all the necessary project clarifications/ information upon project award to the Project Manager as perthe project budget.Job Responsibilities 2Advise the Project Manager on contractual rights, remedies which has been taken into consideration during tendering.Generate tender status reports highlighting progress on concerned tenders.Prepare and generates monthly progress reports highlighting tender wins/ losses (indicating reasons) for review and verification of management.Advise in determining types of projects to bid, strategies, techniques, etc.Assign estimating work, coach, mentor and provide technical support to estimating team.Coordinate with estimating and planning engineers to resolve design/system conflicts as well as coordinates overall scope of work during proposal phase.SkillsJob Knowledge & Skills• Exceptional time management, multitasking, and interpersonal skills.Brilliant management and negotiation skills.Ability to closely collaborate with other project teams and stakeholders.Excellent research, proposal writing, and oral presentation skills.Extensive knowledge of best industry practices and standards.Advanced computer skills and demonstrable competency with software such as ProContractor, Sage Estimating, or CoConstruct.• ERP knowledge preferably SAP functional skills are a requirement to be successful in this role.Job Experience10 years Total7 years On Job3 years GCCAccountabilityResilienceQualityLeadershipCost Management L3Risk analysis & control assessment techniques L3Contract/Bid Documents L3Document & Record Control L3EducationBachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Civil EngineeringYou are being redirect outside Tanqeeb.com to apply for this job!Tanqeeb.com is the pioneering search engine in The Arab World.
