Job Description Reporting to the Oncology Business Unit Director of Saudi Arabia, we are currently recruiting for a Franchise Lead for Oncology, who will be an integral part of the local team and be accountable for the strategy, and operations of the Oncology Franchise under KSA Oncology Business Unit Role and Responsibilities As a Franchise Lead, you will be primarily responsible for maximizing the market and sales potential for the Franchise in the Oncology Business Unit. As the Franchise Lead, you will develop and execute the stakeholder focused, integrated Brand plans, guiding and engaging a team of marketer and PMRs to deliver on the business strategy and drive success and value for our company and stakeholders. You will have an external, stakeholder focus and will lead a team of marketing and sales professionals in the specific franchise in this cross-functional environment. The Primary Activities include but not limited to

  • Leadership: Coach and guide the BCM (Brand & Customer Manager) reporting to the franchise lead to ensure successful implementation of projects/activities as defined in the integrated business plan; Leads and inspires the sales team to ensure high individual and team performance and personal development.
  • Foster the adoption of digital tools and tactics.
  • Ensures adequately staffed sales team with motivated and qualified employees by selecting, coaching, training, developing, rewarding and retaining the right people.
  • Creates an environment based on trust, un-waivered ethics & integrity, and open & honest communication.
  • Customer focus: Lead and empower a team of Oncology PMRs to maximize the opportunity for our Company in appropriate patients via field visits, coaching and customer feedback for insights. Individual visits with relevant stakeholders aimed at co-developing materials or implementing specific programs, participation at national, regional or local congresses or our Company owned events.
  • Market understanding: Analysis of local market and identification of commercial opportunities based on market research and customer insights.
  • Strategy development: Participation at regional brand meetings, understanding and translating the global product strategy into local priorities and the integrated business plan
  • Project & event management: Implementation and tracking of campaigns, initiatives and materials directed at different internal and external stakeholders, such as HCPs, sales teams or patients.
  • Lead the development of Agile, Digital & Data-driven capabilities in the respective franchise with the alignment and support from a Digital, Data and Analytics team.
  • Support an agile management approach and adoption of clear OKRs.
  • Financial acumen: Forecasting & tracking of product sales and expenses in alignment with the BU and finance department based on local external and global internal assumptions.
  • Expense management: Allocate resources and manage budgets. Track progress and adjust activities accordingly.
  • Cross functional collaboration: Ensure alignment of an integrated brand plan between various internal stakeholders such as Medical, Market Access, Finance, Regulatory, demand planning etc. Participate in or lead cross functional workstreams. Set quarterly goals and execution, monitor impact and outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • University degree in pharmacy
  • A minimum of 5 Years experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Previous experience as Sales Manager or Brand Manager
  • Strong Financial Acumen
  • Pharmaceutical sales experience
  • Strong scientific background

Preferred Skills and experience:
  • Previous Experience as Franchise Lead or Business Unit Manager
  • Previous Experience in Oncology especially In Saudi Market
  • Previous Experience in pharmaceutical Brand pre-launch planning and Launch execution.
  • P&L Management
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to effectively and persuasively present information to top management, customers and employees.
