Full job description

General Accountant for a furnishing Company in Qatar. Manage Project petty cash, Preparation of statements with entering bills/invoices on daily basis.

Preparation of weekly cash budget, reconciling daily statement of cash account.
Liaison with suppliers by receiving and verifying tax invoices, delivery notes and other related documents with solving supplier’s queries.
Preparation and disbursement of payroll for Monthly workers and daily wagers by verifying overtime calculations.
Preparation of Payment certificates relating to subcontractors on the basis of work done progress.
Sound understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
Analytical mind with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) certificate (advantageous).
Analyse financial information and prepare balance sheets.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Critical thinker with a high proficiency in math.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Assist in financial and audits, and general ledger preparation.
Develop monthly financial statements that include cash flow, profit and loss statements, and balance sheets.
Accurately perform daily reconciliations of cash, check and credit card transactions, and tally and file invoices.
Advanced competency in Microsoft Office and Accounting software packages.
Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements.
Participate in the formation and implementation of company financial plans
Preparation of all monthly financial reports
Work with outside accounting/financial firms on monthly close-out procedures
Provide reporting and budgeting as required by Senior Management.
Manage company and project cash flow
VAT and return filing.
Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable staff and functions

Must be a strong and organized leader with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also required. Specific requirements include:

Bachelor’s Degree in accounting and/or finance required
3 to 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Experience in job cost accounting and financial reporting
Expert in MS Office
Tally software
Understanding of commercial insurance policies required
