Overview

Our client's New Energies (NE) division is dedicated to realizing low carbon ambitions and decarbonization targets, focusing on the production, shipping, and marketing of low carbon hydrogen and ammonia. The Business Development Specialist for Europe plays a crucial role within the Commercial Team of NE's Hydrogen Department. This position is responsible for developing, implementing, and executing strategies for low carbon hydrogen and ammonia in the European markets, while also negotiating sale and purchase agreements and identifying new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead negotiations of commercial contracts (TS, HOA, SPA) for low carbon ammonia offtake.
  2. Conduct comprehensive market research and analyze industry trends, regulatory landscapes, and competitive dynamics in Europe.
  3. Manage existing customer accounts and foster relationships with potential partners.
  4. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align business development activities with organizational objectives.
  5. Support Aramco's participation in hydrogen market auctions and tenders in Europe.
  6. Organize and participate in industry networking events to facilitate business development.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or related field; MBA preferred . Minimum 15 years of experience in commercial roles, with a proven track record of negotiating long-term LNG and/or ammonia contracts (TS, HOA, SPA) in EU markets. Comprehensive knowledge and experience in the LNG and/or ammonia industry, including marketing, origination, operations, delivery planning, and shipping. Strong understanding of the EU electricity power market environment, with experience in electrical power producers preferred. Proficiency in financial analysis, long-term commercial contracts, and various types of commercial transactions. Demonstrated ability to navigate and influence complex internal stakeholder groups. Expertise in international business and cross-cultural professional practices, particularly with European and Middle Eastern companies. Effective management of cross-cultural relationships. Willingness and ability to travel.
