Lead Environmental Safety Coordinator - Petrochemical Construction

  • Oversee engineering design, procurement, and construction activities.
  • Handle projects of varying sizes and complexities..
  • Manage projects across multiple site offices or engineering contractor design offices in various locations within the Kingdom.

Job Purpose
  • Join Client's Project Management Team (PMT) for capital projects.

  • Oversee engineering design, procurement, and construction activities.

  • Manage projects across multiple site offices or engineering contractor design offices in various locations within the Kingdom.
  • Familiarity with managing projects in diverse locations.
  • Commitment to safety, integrity, and compliance standards.
Responsibilities
  • Assess and report contractor compliance with safety and environmental requirements.
  • Conduct pre construction safety meetings and explain execution requirements.
  • Track Key Performance Indicators for performance improvement.
  • Develop and conduct safety training.
  • Advise department staff on maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Identify and evaluate hazardous conditions and practices.
  • Perform on-site inspections and audits for safety compliance.
  • Develop controls for identified hazards and measure effectiveness.
  • Prepare safety orientations, training materials, and job site inspection procedures.
  • Participate in Safe Operations Committee meetings.
  • Review and analyze injury and property damage data, providing recommendations.
  • Incorporate safety requirements in purchasing and contracting actions.
  • Recommend safety equipment purchases and ensure adherence to safety programs.
Must Have
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, safety engineering, industrial hygiene, or related field.
  • Twelve (12) years of experience in heavy construction safety, particularly in oil/gas or petrochemical construction.
  • Demonstrated expertise in hands-on health, safety, and environmental training.
  • Ability to assist in developing, implementing, and coordinating comprehensive health and safety programs.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) for training, presentations, and report writing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with standards, concepts, practices, and procedures in health, safety, and environmental fields.
  • Ability to work at all organizational levels and within diverse work groups.
