Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Application Analyst specializing in Development to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing software solutions to support our business operations and strategic initiatives. As an Application Analyst - Development, you will play a key role in driving digital innovation and delivering high-quality software solutions to meet business needs. Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and design software solutions that meet business needs and technical requirements.
  • Develop and maintain software applications, including but not limited to web applications, mobile apps, and integrations, using programming and development tools such as Java, .NET, Python, and JavaScript.
  • Conduct code reviews and testing to ensure the quality, performance, and reliability of software solutions, and implement measures to address any defects or issues identified.
  • Integrate software applications with existing IT systems and platforms, ensuring seamless operation and interoperability, and implement data exchange mechanisms as needed.
  • Provide technical expertise and support for troubleshooting software issues, diagnosing root causes, and implementing solutions in a timely manner to minimize downtime and disruption to operations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and quality assurance testers, to deliver software projects within scope, schedule, and budget constraints.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in software development, and make recommendations for technology adoption and innovation to drive business value.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, standards, and procedures for software development, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate) are .
  • Proven experience working as an application analyst or software developer, with at least 5 years of experience designing, developing, and implementing software solutions in a corporate environment.
  • Strong technical expertise in software development and frameworks, such as Java, .NET, Python, JavaScript, and SQL, and familiarity with software development methodologies and best practices.
  • Experience with web development frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, Vue.js) and mobile app development platforms (e.g., iOS, Android) is highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and identify innovative solutions to drive business value.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and deliver results within scope, schedule, and budget constraints.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience working in the energy or industrial sector is a plus.
  • Must be eligible to work in Qatar.
