Job Summary

To manage, supervise, follow up, and check all mechanical systems engineering works such as materials submittals, method statement, shop drawings, etc.

Job Responsibilities 1

  1. To manage self, to manage others, and to liaise with the MEP coordinators, main contractor technical team, consultant, etc.
  2. To ensure the discipline shop drawings are prepared in accordance with the relevant design drawings, specifications, details in coordination with all other disciplines.
  3. To ensure that the drawings submission schedule efficiently within the target schedule in the best quality.
  4. To ensure the shop drawings are executed in compliance with local authorities that have jurisdiction over the discipline scope of work i.e. Health and Safety and all standards applicable to the project such as QCS2014 and the project specifications.
  5. To ensure adherence to the relevant company's policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities 2

  1. To ensure the satisfaction of the client, consultant, and main contractor and MEP project manager/CM always.
  2. To guide the technical engineers/draftsmen through the work activities management process throughout the duration of the project engineering phase.
  3. Assign specific targets to the various work activities.
  4. To plan and allocate responsibilities to team members.
  5. To review and approve Mechanical shop drawings before submission.
  6. To review and approve Mechanical design calculations before submission.
  7. To review and sign-off Mechanical material technical submittal before issuance to the consultant.
  8. To review and approve method statements in compliance with project specifications, authorities, etc.
  9. To liaise with other technical departments (architect, structural, etc.) for the relevant reviews, approvals, etc.

Additional Responsibilities 3

Job Knowledge & Skills Knowledge of HR processes and procedures with regards to workforce planning Strong Knowledge of the Construction Field Mechanical codes and Standards NFPA Local Regulations UPDA Certified Engineer or Certification with attestation
