Job Description:

As the Managing Director, Bulk Commodities International Dubai, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations and strategic direction of the Bulk Commodities division of Dangote Industries Limited in Dubai. You will lead a team of professionals to drive the growth and profitability of the business, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement the strategic business plan for the Bulk Commodities division, aligned with the overall objectives of DIL.
  2. Drive business growth by identifying and pursuing new market opportunities and partnerships.
  3. Manage the division's financial performance and ensure profitability targets are met or exceeded.
  4. Oversee the development and implementation of operational processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  5. Provide leadership and guidance to the team, fostering a positive and high-performance culture.
  6. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, regulatory authorities, and industry associations.
  7. Stay abreast of market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making.
  8. Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in the bulk commodities industry, with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
  • Proven track record of driving business growth and profitability.
  • Strong financial acumen and ability to analyze complex financial data.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to think strategically and make sound business decisions.
  • In-depth knowledge of the bulk commodities industry, including market dynamics, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
