About the role In this role, you will be responsible for the revenue optimization of cargo capacity for passenger and freighter flights for the network. You will assist in setting and developing revenue management strategies for the assigned region, you will manage, develop, training and motivate a team of Cargo Inventory Management Specialist and Cargo Inventory Management Analyst. As part of your role, your additional responsibilities will include, but not limited to, the following:
- Ensure the team follows a network-based approach in order to optimize the network margin as opposed to individual flight legs based on demand.
- Ensure team follows a consistent approach to monitor economic performance of flights. Detailed analysis of flow and flight trends and identify improvement opportunities
- Organize performance review platforms with relevant stakeholders in order to discuss economic performance of routes and highlight constraints. Set up constructive plans to mitigate constraints
- Determines cargo inventory management strategies and ensures these are implemented by the team ; Inventory controls, coordination with stakeholders for optimum mix between allotment capacity and free-sales capacity and inputs on long term optimization strategies, overbooking levels, decide on risk levels based on no-show trends. Overlooking evolution of Entry-conditions based on demand
- Monitor the business and commercial impact of these strategies through reports, analysis and feedback from the Cargo Inventory Management Lead and instruct Team on changes in strategies based on real time to maximum contributions.
- Participate in initiation, implementation and execution of projects as a subject matter expert, reporting to designated Manager Cargo Inventory Management.
- Regularly evaluate the department or teams objectives, plans, procedures and practices, and makes appropriate changes if needed.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with at least 6 years of job-related experience within the airline, cargo or logistics industry
- Strong understanding of revenue management and network optimization principles and practices
- Good understanding of cargo operational and commercial processes
- Advanced quantitative, analytical and decision-making skills with proficiency in using Tableau, PowerBI and Excel
- Ability to lead and work extensively with cross- functional teams, in a faced- paced working environment
- Excellent spoken and written English skills with strong persuasion and influencing capabilities Experience in project management and stakeholder management with ability and dedication to work with data, drive digitization and innovation and promote change management
