You as the Operating Unit Manager for Capacitor Banks

You will be part of Hitachi Energy High Voltage Business based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. You will be leading the Operating Unit for Capacitor Banks and will be responsible to stabilize and grow the Capacitor Bank & Filter Business in Saudi Arabia from an organizational, market as well as financial perspective. You will ensure an excellent level of customer satisfaction by delivering on-time high-quality services and systems to the growing market. Utilizing the different – internal as well as external – channels to reach a full coverage of the developing market. Being part of the management team of the Business Unit 'High Voltage Products', contributing to the overall development and continuous improvements of people capabilities and the local business, as well as to the Global Product Group strategy.

Your responsibilities

  1. Ensuring that implementation of HSE guidelines at the workplace and onsite is followed to ensure own safety as well as other staff.
  2. Ensuring compliance with procedures for hazard identification and risk control.
  3. Implementing the Global Product Group strategy for Capacitor Banks and Filters in Saudi Arabia and ensuring business development in the local market.
  4. Providing input to Global Product Group and Hub Business Unit strategy.
  5. Leading and developing the Capacitor Banks and Filters Operating Unit in a swift but controlled manner to utilize the opportunities the market offers.
  6. Setting and monitoring performance targets in line with global Business Unit targets and ensuring achievement through regular oversight and definition of improvement actions as needed.
  7. Achieving budgeted targets for revenues, OpEBITA, inventory, OCF and other operational KPIs.
  8. Closely evaluating together with Front-End Sales, the market opportunities and decides on appropriate activities and further developments in line with the Global Product Group strategy as well as the Hub Business Unit strategy.
  9. Overseeing the execution of related projects and service activities, as well as at a later stage related assembly.
  10. Monitoring quality metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement in local execution and oversees improvement activities.
  11. Monitoring and reviewing monthly and annual targets for quality, environmental, productivity and on-time delivery with minimum execution and production costs and takes necessary corrective actions to close any gaps.
  12. Ensuring most effective utilization of resources including staff, equipment, and facilities.
  13. Ensuring (together with HR support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed.
  14. Guiding, motivating, and developing direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies.
  15. Identifying and forecasting manpower requirements for your business.

Your background

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or science, or Business Administration with an extensive technical background. Minimum of 15 years of work experience in Power & Energy Industry. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Sales. Previous work experience in Middle East or Saudi Arabia required. Experience with Power Quality or Substation Business is a must. Leadership and change management experience. Ability to energize and develop the team. Proficiency in both spoken and written English and Arabic language is required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
