Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled Painting Technician with a robust background in mastic preparation and painting processes, particularly focusing on FRP and steel products. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of coating materials, application techniques, and possess hands-on experience in ensuring the highest quality finishes.Responsibilities:Surface Preparation:Conduct thorough surface preparation on FRP and steel products, including cleaning, sanding, and priming, to ensure optimal adhesion of coatings.Assess surfaces for defects, rust, or imperfections and take appropriate measures to address them before painting.Mastic Preparation:Expertise in preparing mastic coatings suitable for FRP and steel applications.Accurately measure and mix coating components to achieve desired properties and adhere to product specifications.Coating Application:Apply mastic coatings using various methods, such as spray, brush, or roller, ensuring even coverage and a smooth finish.Monitor environmental conditions and adjust application techniques to optimize coating adhesion and drying.Quality Control:Conduct regular inspections of painted surfaces to ensure the highest quality standards are met.Identify and rectify any defects or imperfections promptly.Equipment Maintenance:Perform routine maintenance on painting equipment to ensure proper functionality and longevity.Report any equipment malfunctions or issues promptly to the supervisor.Safety Compliance:Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols related to painting and coating processes.Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a safe working environment.Documentation:Maintain accurate records of paint quantities used, application methods, and other relevant data.Collaborate with the quality control team to document and address any deviations from quality standards.Qualifications:Proven experience as a Painting Technician with a focus on FRP and steel products.In-depth knowledge of mastic preparation and application techniques.Familiarity with various types of coatings and their compatibility with different substrates.Ability to interpret and follow product specifications and technical drawings.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality finishes.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.Education:High school diploma or equivalent.Technical certification or relevant vocational training is a plus.
