Evidence must be provided, and Minimum of four years with MSN or six years with BSN of current experience as a RN, including at least two years of current leadership experience, working in a mid- to large-size acute-care hospital setting in North America, Western Europe, or Australia/New Zealand. Department Information The Ambulatory Care Nursing (ACN) Program is made up of fourteen clinical areas that represent the management of over ninety subspecialty clinics including Hemodialysis, Endoscopy and Oncology Treatment areas. This Ambulatory care facility is one of the largest in the world with over 500,000 patient encounters per year. A team of over 280 staff nurses manage clinics, coordinate complicated testing schedules, assess patient compliance and teach patients about their medical conditions in this area. Leadership is provided by Head Nurses in each of the clinic areas who together with clinical coordinators and support staff (including interpreters) make up another 100 staff members in this area. The Endoscopy Unit is a tertiary referral unit which provides treatment and supportive nursing care to adult and pediatric inpatients and outpatients. These patients usually present with gastrointestinal conditions which may require both diagnostic and therapeutic interventions. The Endoscopy Unit also provides treatment for patients requiring pulmonary diagnostic procedures and minor renal tract investigations. Frequent Procedures/Services/Functions: Upper G.I Endoscopy Colonoscopy Motility, manometry, and pH studies Esophageal dilatation Esophageal banding and sclerotherapy Esophageal stent placement Endoscopic ultrasound ERCP - diagnostic ERCP with sphincterotomy and stent placement Capsule Endoscopy Urodynamic and uroflow studies Monthly Patient Volume: 350 - 400 Hours of Operation: 5 days per week - Saturday - Tuesday 0730 - 1800 hr Wednesday 0730 - 1700 hr On Call services are provided after working hours and at the week-end.
