Position Overview:As a Mobile Vehicle Technician in our Solutions team, you will be responsible for providing on-site mobile wheel alignment, balancing, and tyre regrooving services to our commercial trucking consumers. Your role is crucial in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and optimal performance of our clients' truck tyres, and you will work under the guidance and supervision of Solutions Supervisor.Responsibilities:Utilize advanced tools and equipment to perform wheel alignment and balancing procedures accurately, ensuring precise alignment and weight distribution for improved tyre longevity and fuel efficiency.Minor suspension repairs.Perform on-site mobile wheel alignment, balancing, and tyre regrooving services for commercial trucking consumers. Travel to client locations to deliver timely and effective tyre maintenance solutions.Conduct comprehensive tyre inspections and diagnostics to identify any wear, damage, or alignment issues. Provide professional recommendations to clients based on findings.Utilize appropriate techniques and equipment to regroove truck tyres, extending their lifespan and enhancing overall performance.Keep detailed records of all services provided, including inspection reports, alignment and balancing data, regrooving history, and any additional recommendations made to clients.Establish and maintain excellent communication with clients, providing exceptional customer service, addressing their queries, and explaining the benefits of regular tyre maintenance.Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and industry standards during all service operations. Promote a safety-first culture within the team and among clients.Regularly inspect and maintain service vehicles, tools, and equipment to ensure their proper functionality and safety compliance.Work closely with Supervisor to optimize tyre fleet management processes, contribute insights, and assist in planning tyre maintenance schedules for clients.Participate in training programs and stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and best practices related to tyre fleet management.Qualifications and Requirements:High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in automotive or tyre-related fields is a plus.Proven experience in mobile wheel alignment, balancing, and tyre regrooving, preferably in the commercial trucking industry.Proficiency in using advanced tyre servicing equipment and tools.Strong knowledge of tyre types, sizes, and specifications for commercial trucks.Excellent understanding of wheel alignment principles, tyre wear patterns, and causes of tyre failure.Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet scheduled appointments.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients professionally.Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.Physical fitness to perform manual tasks and lift heavy objects.Willingness to travel frequently and work in various weather conditions.Safety-conscious mindset and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.Work Environment:The Mobile Vehicle Technician will primarily work on-site at client locations, providing mobile tyre services for commercial trucks. This role may involve exposure to outdoor weather conditions and physical demands related to tyre maintenance activities.
