Job Title: School Improvement Consultant (EYFS and Primary) - British International School, Qatar

Location: Qatar

Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced School Improvement Consultant specializing in Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Primary education to join our esteemed British International School in Qatar. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving forward the school's improvement agenda, ensuring that our educational practices align with the highest international standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive school improvement strategies specifically focused on enhancing EYFS and Primary education.

Collaborate closely with school leadership, teachers, and support staff to assess current practices, identify areas for improvement, and develop action plans for sustainable change.

Conduct thorough evaluations of the EYFS and Primary curriculum, teaching methodologies, and assessment practices, providing recommendations for enhancements and innovations.

Deliver targeted professional development sessions, workshops, and coaching programs for teaching staff to support the implementation of effective pedagogical approaches and instructional strategies.

Utilize a data-driven approach to monitor student progress, analyze performance trends, and identify areas for intervention and support to ensure all learners reach their full potential.

Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement and reflective practice among staff through the implementation of observation protocols, feedback mechanisms, and collaborative learning communities.

Stay abreast of current educational research, trends, and best practices related to EYFS and Primary education, integrating new ideas and approaches into school improvement plans.

Engage with parents and the wider school community to foster effective communication, partnership, and involvement in supporting student learning and achievement.

Collaborate with external agencies, educational consultants, and accreditation bodies to ensure alignment with national and international educational standards and requirements.

Contribute to the development and implementation of the school's strategic plans, policies, and initiatives aimed at advancing our mission of providing a world-class education.

Qualifications:

A Master's degree or higher in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field.

Extensive experience in teaching, leadership, and school improvement roles within Early Years and Primary settings, preferably within an international school context.

Proven track record of driving positive change and improvement in educational outcomes, with a deep understanding of EYFS and Primary curriculum frameworks and assessment practices.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

Expertise in data analysis, instructional coaching, and delivering professional development programs for educators.

Familiarity with international accreditation standards and processes, such as the British Schools Overseas (BSO) inspection framework, is advantageous.

Fluency in English (written and verbal); proficiency in Arabic is desirable.

Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability, and a commitment to promoting excellence and continuous improvement in education.
