In this role, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs associated with high-end fit-out projects, including detailed calculations of materials, labor, and equipment needed to complete each project. You will work closely with various stakeholders to understand project requirements, analyze costs, and prepare detailed estimates. Additionally, you will provide support to the project management team to ensure successful project delivery.Key Responsibilities:Study the tender documents and prepare review documents for internal approvals, as well as prepare Request for Information (RFI) for any missing information from the client.Analyse drawings and specifications to determine the scope of work and materials required.Prepare and send Request for Quotation (RFQ) packages to suppliers and subcontractors and follow up for quotations.Prepare supplier and subcontractor price comparisons.Verify quantities required for the project.Review bid documents, attend pre-bid meetings, and conduct site visits to gather information and clarify project requirements.Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for high-end fit-out projects.Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and the procurement team to develop cost-effective and value engineering solutions.Research and evaluate materials, labour costs, and equipment to ensure accurate cost estimates.Prepare and submit timely and competitive bids to clients and contractors.Monitor and track project costs, including labour, materials, and equipment.Provide accurate and timely progress reports to project stakeholders.Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance and optimize cost estimates.Desired Candidate ProfileBSc in QS / HD in QS/ bachelor's in civil engineering.Minimum of 8 years of experience, including a minimum of 5 years in the Middle East, with hands-on involvement in high-end interior fitout projects like hotels rooms & public areas, F&B outlets, Malls etc.Good technical and market knowledge is required.Good knowledge of industry standards, including QCS/QCDD/Local Authority/GSAS/LEED requirements.Experience in estimating and tendering process, site measurement, and costing, budgeting and general contract administration.Professional certification in estimating, such as Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or Certified Estimating Professional (CEP), is preferred.Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and costs.Proficient in using estimating software and tools.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Attention to detail and accuracy in cost calculations.Effective communication and negotiation skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Strong organizational and time management skills.Driving License is an added advantage.Employment TypeFull TimeCompany Industry Construction Civil Engineering Department / Functional Area Interior Design Keywords Estimation Engineer Disclaimer: Naukrigulf.com is only a platform to bring jobseekers & employers together.
