job Purpose • Provide professionaladvice and guidance on division specific financial and accountingareas e.g., month-end financial closing, cost allocation, JointVenture master data set up, Cost Flow designs/ set-up, maintenanceof Chart of Accounts, whilst demonstrating a sound understanding ofthe underlying principles, concepts, and standards. Collect,analyse, and present financial data, both internally andexternally. Job Context & Major Challenge(s) - I •Role is responsible for the effective implementation/ review/guidance as per approved policies and procedures tasks related to:Month-end Financial Closing; Cost allocation process; Master datamaintenance, Joint Venture system set up in SAP and any SystemDesign changes. • Major challenges of the role are (1)provide professional advice and guidance in SAP system set up forJoint Venture and Cost Flow designs; (2) review and implementationof month-end financial closing and cost allocation process; (3)maintenance of chart of accounts, cost objects and variousreporting hierarchies use across Finance and other Groups. Key JobAccountabilities - I • Perform and review as per approvedprocedures of month- end financial closing activities, ensuringthat closing procedures are efficient and reliable, and incompliance with Operations & Maintenance, Joint Venture,and Service Agreements. • Perform financial master datacreation and maintenance for QG OPCO, all Joint Venture Companies,and Common Facilities (e.g., vendor, customer, cost objects, GLaccounts). • Perform Accounts Reconciliation process forall Qatargas Companies, ensuring the propriety of financial reportsthrough a well-controlled Accounts Reconciliation process.• Interface with other Finance divisions to obtain/providefinancial information and guidance, interpret, and utilizefinancial documents (e.g., statistical key figures, impact ofallocation). • Prepare and review GL routine reports(e.g., month-end closing KPI, vendor monitoring report, accountsreconciliation management report). Key Job Accountabilities - II• Review and update policies and procedures for thedifferent GL processes. Ensure relevant Company regulations andcontrols are observed, system/ work integrity is maintained.• Identify and provide recommendations for possibleenhancement or improvement and provide input for the development offinancial systems and procedures. • Participate in routineand non-routine specific projects within set terms of reference anddefined processes. • Assist supervisor in the preparationof reports. Ensure integrity of routine and non-routine data intostandard output, support analysis, process financial transactions,and perform reconciliations. • Provide advice and guidanceto graduates to assist them in delivering the required outputs andpromoting their development. Qualifications •Bachelor's degree in an Accounting, Finance, Economic orCommercial discipline; or • Bachelor's degree inany discipline and an internationally recognised professionalaccounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CA, CFA, CIMA, CMA, CPA).Knowledge and/or Experience - I • 5 years'experience in a finance function in the Oil & Gas Industry.• Solid knowledge of SAP/ accountingsystems
