Job Description · Collaborate with the Purchasing Manager to determine purchasing needs andspecifications. · Source suppliers and obtain competitive bids for goods and services. · Negotiate favorable terms and contracts with vendors while ensuringquality and timely delivery. · Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including purchaseorders and contracts. · Monitor inventory levels and anticipate demand to prevent shortages oroverstocking. · Implement inventory management systems to track stock movements andminimize waste. · Conduct regular audits to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance withsafety standards. · Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with suppliers to ensurereliable and cost-effective procurement. · Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, reliability, andresponsiveness. · Address any issues or disputes with vendors promptly and professionally. · Assist in developing and managing the purchasing budget, ensuringalignment with overall financial goals. · Identify opportunities for cost savings through strategic sourcing andnegotiation. · Monitor expenditures and variances, providing regular reports tomanagement. · Stay informed about relevant regulations and industry standards relatedto procurement practices. · Mitigate procurement-related risks by implementing appropriate controlsand safeguards. Requirements · Proven experience in purchasing or procurement in a 4 to 5 star hotel. · Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, orrelated field. · Strong negotiation skills and ability to build productive vendorrelationships. · Excellent organizational skills with a focus on accuracy and attention todetail. · Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritizecompeting demands.
