As a member of thelearning support team in the British Curriculum and CBSE School,you will act as key worker, will work within the Learning SupportTeam to support students with diverse needs by coordinating theirsupport, advocating for their needs, delivering personalisedinterventions and teaching, and working closely with colleagues andparents to promote inclusion to help students reach theirpotential. Key priorities of the role include • To supportthe quality of teaching and learning for students with specialeducational needs, and those with English is an AdditionalLanguage, in mainstream classes and/or during support lessons• To provide learning support to students with diverseneeds • To work closely with mainstream teachers toincrease understanding of SEN and EAL issues, and methodology andadvocate for developmentally appropriate approaches. Requirements• Qualified teacher status (QTS) • Bachelordegree in Education or equivalent • Experience workingacross SEN & EAL • Minimum 2 years teachingexperience in similar role - SEN & EAL • Recentexperience of the English national curriculum from the UK or areputable international school is essential • Knowledge oflanguage development, specialism in promoting literacy, fluency inspoken Arabic and experience of SEN assessment up to CL2 aredesirable but not essential. • Effective communicator• Possess excellent people skills • Flexible,collegiate and collaborative • Ability to thinkstrategically • Have the ability to present ideas andstrategy to management. • Please note that due togovernment requirements we can only consider applicants who arebelow 50 years old.
