Become fully familiar with theproject scope of work, specifications, schedule and allinter-discipline requirements; including identifying concerns asearly as practicable and taking appropriate initiatives to addressthe issues. Interpret contractual requirements as they relate toengineering execution.Identify changes toscope and promptly raise change notifications, including providingany necessary supporting documentation and estimates. Providesimilar support for Variation Orders.Interfacewith all disciplines to develop clash freedesigns.Interface with other departments toobtain input for Discipline designs anddrawings.Maintain close co-ordination withother engineering disciplines, Planning and Project ManagementTeam, as required.Document substantivecommunications (communications that result in significant decisionsor assignment of actions) and forward copies to Discipline LeadEngineer and Discipline Manager.Prepareestimates for bid proposals, including technical query reviews,execution statements and man-hour estimates, identifying softwarerequirements and any other project-specificrequirements.Prepare bid's andproject's Discipline engineering budget and executionplans, updating as required.Raise technicalqueries to obtain missing information, clarify work scope and tomaintain preferred McDermott procedures, specifications, standards,practices and operationalrequirements.Prepare, review and (as LeadEngineer) approve Discipline engineering design basis, philosophiesand technical specifications.Participate infinalizing deliverables lists and deliverables, ensuring compliancewith specifications and functionalintegrity.Review project schedule andfabrication schedule in relation to construction sequence,milestones and engineering scope.Attendproject kickoff and review meetings, vendor meetings, engineeringmeetings and offshore site surveys, asrequired.Provide technical direction andreview of Designers producing products related to ProcessEngineering.Prepare, review and (as LeadEngineer) approve design reports andprocedures.Assist in providing necessarydesign inputs to other disciplines to enable them in proceedingwith their deliverables.Review and (as LeadEngineer) approve vendor and subcontractor submittals, checking forcompliance with project specifications and providing comments asnecessary.
