Applications are welcomefrom first CoreFunctions / Responsibilities: • Provideprocedural guidanceto managers and staff; supervise, guide andtrain other financesupport staff; • Manage financialresources throughmonitoring and controlling assets, reserves,funds, supplies, etc.in accordance with IOM rules and regulations; • Providespecialized advice and support to ProjectManagers and/or Chief ofMissions • Provide specializedsupport preparing annualbudget submission and revisions includingestimating the cost ofstaff as well as rental and utilities,office equipment andsupplies, printing, and other contracts,services or runningexpenses; • Assist in monitoringcompliance with financialpolicies, procedures, rules andregulations; • Consolidatedata into financial statementsand assist in monitoring expendituresto ensure they remain withinauthorized levels; • Provideregular and ad hoc financialinformation to support informedfinancial decision making; • Assist monitoring that bankreconciliations for IOMaccounts are regularly performed andreviewed by designatedstakeholders; • Manage and preparethe payroll byexecuting validity checks on monthly payroll results;• Ensure that disbursements are made based on properauthorizationsand supported by legitimate and sufficientdocumentation; • Provide assistance responding to auditqueries andfollow up on audit recommendations; • Reviewthe statusand monitor the proper maintenance of Vendor Accounts inaccountingsystem; • Verify vendor claims for accuracyandconformance with IOM finance policies and instructions;• Assist in the preparation of budget, accounting,financial,statistical reports and other reports as required; and,• Perform other related duties asrequired
