 As a Salesmanager you are responsible to develop and foster business throughpro-active direct sales, marketing, telemarketing, direct mail,appointment calls and tours of the hotel. Also develops strategicaction plans for hotels to drive measurable, incremental salesrevenue. Identify areas of opportunity in performance and recommendtools and sales training to optimize performance of sales team.Additionally work with individual hotel teams to identify skilldevelopment areas and properly deploy sales and marketingresources. Sales Manager Duties and Responsibilities: •Responsible for Corporate and Travel Agent Room Sales for thehotel. • Clear understanding of the hotels businessstrategies then set goals and to determine action plans to meetthose goals. • Update action plans and financialobjectives quarterly. • Identify new markets and businessopportunities and increase sales. • Represent Hotels invarious events and exhibition. • Implements all salesaction plans related to my market areas as outlined in themarketing plan. • Conducts daily sales calls and arrangesite inspection trips to hotels by corporate clients. •Able to provide Quick and timely responses, immediate communicationto the properties, develop professional long term businessrelationships. • Provide the highest quality of service tothe customer at all times. • Participates in sales callswith members of sales team to acquire new business and/or close onbusiness. • Executes and supports the operational aspectsof business booked (e.g. CVGR, generating proposal, Corporate RateApplication letter, writing contract, customer correspondence).• Able to supports hotels service and relationshipstrategy, driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellencethroughout each customer experience. • Work closely withRevenue Manager to ensure proposed rate negotiations meet thefinancial needs of the hotels. • Develop strongrelationships with on property front office team to ensure workingin unity and always striving to achieve the same goals. •Accompany sales team on sales calls to potential clients to assistin development of the account and to access the effectiveness andsales skills of the sales person. • Assess additionaltraining needs based on data gathered and interaction with salesteam from property visits. • Attending all department andhotel meetings as necessary. • Targeting key accountspotential for the company. • Builds and strengthensrelationships with existing and new customers to enable futurebookings. Activities include sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips,trade shows, etc. • Develops relationships withincommunity to strengthen and expand customer base for salesopportunities. • Manages and develops relationships withkey internal and external stakeholders. • Acquiring anddeveloping new business accounts and preparing sales proposals forclients. • Closely following up on all business leadswithin a 24 hour response time line toclients.
